How the Gift Works

  • Step 1: Buy the Voucher. You’ll receive a beautiful digital or physical gift certificate.
  • Step 2: They Choose the Date. We run sessions throughout the spring and summer. The recipient simply contacts us to book their spot.
  • Step 3: The Big Day. A guided tour of the hives, a chance to spot the Queen, and of course tasting our world class Welsh honey.

Common Questions

Is it safe for beginners?

Absolutely. We specialize in education and provide all necessary safety gear. Our expert beekeepers lead every step.

Will they get stung?

Our bees are bred for calmness and all possible safety precautions will be taken to ensure no one is stung. If all instructions are followed it's very very unlikely anybody will be stung. This is our job and nobody wants that at work!

What if they are scared of bees?

Many of our guests start nervous! We move at their pace, and most find the experience incredibly calming.

What should they wear to the beekeeping experience?

We provide the suit and gloves. They just need to bring a pair of sturdy boots (wellies are perfect) and avoid wearing strong perfumes, as the bees prefer natural scents!

Where is Experience located?

The experience session will be at Cynnon Valley Organic Adventures, easily accessible from Cardiff and the surrounding Valleys.

Can children attend?

No, this is an adult only experience. We don't have insurance for children unfortunately.

How long are the sessions?

Approximately 1 hour, though maybe a little longer.

When does it start?

Each session will begin at 12:00.
